Monday was 2 weeks from "hatch" date.
Cleaned the brooder last night. Their chest feather are coming in now. The two largest ones are feathering faster. Not too sure yet, but it looks like I have 2 males so far.

I'm such a dork. I bought those cute quail egg molds today off ebay. My little bento lunches will have bunny & faces on my hard boiled quail eggs!! Woohoo

I'm almost out of feed for this piglets. Time to go to "The Stinky Cow" (tsc).

It's week 4 now!

I have 2 roo's & 4 hens now!

However, my larger roo looks like it is getting pecked a little. His feathers are everywhere. I was planning on keeping the larger one. I think I am going to put the smaller one by himself and see how the group does.

My DH picked up 2x2's and pvc roofing.
Looks like they will be moving out of the garage this weekend!

YAY 1-2 more weeks until eggs!

BTW my egg molds came in last night. They are way cuter than I expected.

I will take some pix while we build the hutch.

We bought the rabbit cage kit from TSC with the pull out pan and water bottle.

I separated my two males this morning.

When I checked on them this morning, everyone was paired off together. 3 & 3 on different sides of the cage.

I put the smaller roo in the brooder. The one that was being pecked i left in the cage.

We painted the hutch this weekend and all it needs is the roof now! I am really happy how it turned out.
Pic's tomorrow!

I finally got around to weighing them.

Beginning of week 5

Roo's

1.) 6.5 oz
2.) 5.45

Hen's

1.) 6.5 oz
2.) 4.9
3.) 5.25
4.) 4.9

We put the coop outside on Sunday.

Here is the finished picture of our Coop.

We used the rabbit cage kit from TSC. We used 2x2, plywood & PVC Roofing.
The cage hangs on the inside from screws, so the pan can slide in easily!

My last post got eaten by the computer......

Ever since we put the hutch outside, it has rained almost everyday.
I can say, it is water resistant so far. No roof leaks.

This morning I chopped up a hard boiled egg for my group.
They all seems to like it. Come on Eggs!!!!

I found a guy on craigslist selling 2wk old jumbos for $2.00. I talked to my husband and he said I could get some more to diversify our flock. I was thinking on getting 1 male and 2 more females. Eating the dink's from my first hatch.

Today is day 37
