.... yeah. Our colleges are NOT the nicest places, and therefore their students are not good kids either. (At least the majority of them aren't.)
Two times in the past month, I've been tempted to grab the shotgun out of the closet in defense of the property or even self defense.
The first time, this group of 4 guys and 1 girl was speeding down the road (it's a dirt road with minimal traffic) and they skidded to a stop at our driveway. One got out yelling and started coming up the drive, and then 2 more got out and started backing him up - he was walking backwards and they were in the offensive mode, in more ways than one. The language they were spewing out made me cringe -- I've read the words so many times across the internet, but when you hear someone calling another person such names, it's a million times worse. Yes, I was so ready to get the shotgun! But I let the dogs out instead. They finally left, and good riddance.
Just a few minutes ago 2 college guys came down the road on a 4 wheeler. And up our driveway. And they decided it would be fun to hang out there for a while, shouting and using their bad language. Again, I was sorely tempted to grab the shotgun! I shoulda yelled like I wanted too... But I figured two vicious dogs barking would scare 'em more. They left.
I hate it when college kids think they rule the world and can do what they please, when they please, wherever they please, just because they're on break.
Stay off my property, jerks. And keep your foul language to yourselves.
