(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
brand new! We just moved to Maryland and already have a tick issue. Convinced the boyfriend we needed chickens
I have been talking about them already but a lone star tick sealed the deal.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 4 Buff Orpington chicks. Almost a week old. I think I have two pullets and 2 roos...
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff Orpingtons! My friend suggested them to me.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
No idea yet but I just ordered all my lumber for a coop I haven't planned completely yet...
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I show dogs in conformation and sports. I show my sheltie boy for now but looking to move into Collies in the near future. The deal with the BF was that I'd wait on my Collie puppy for a year in exchange for the chickens
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Can't wait to learn and bond with my chickens? I already love watching the chicks be silly. Can't wait to her the adult clucks

Duckduckgo.com suggested it to me when I was looking up coops. I chose to join because I've noticed how much knowledge everyone seems to have. I value experience greatly
