Hello everyone,
My young chickens of 12 weeks have recently come down with a respiratory infection.
In Sweden it seems very hard to find a vet that knows anything about chickens, ducks etc. And it takes a long time to get hold of the "districtveterinär".
All if my chickens are sneezing, one had a rattling in her chest with hoarse sounding voice. I gave her 20mg/kg bodyweight serrapeptase this morning and the chest seemed to temporarily drain.
One other is coughing quite badly (I gave him serrapeptase too - although he did everything to not have to take it.
And a third one was given serrapeptase too because she sounded very flemmy (I'm unsure how this is spelled)
Tonight I have given them 1ml colloidal silver in 1L water with 1/2 teaspoon of propolis honey.
Does anyone have experience with this mixture? I have been very conservative with the amount of colloidal silver er because last time I gave it, they were suddenly bleeding out of their guts.

Have you tasted that colloidal silver? It is extremely salty.
I have tried it and it hardly has any taste. I have tried used it myself for urinary infection and it has no taste. There is zero salt in there. I'm not sure if what you had was (pure) colloidal silver. Colloidal silver is NOT salty at all!
