SO excited! Both Sweet Potato Queches are pipping. Three Colloncas are pipping. One Collonca has it's beak out and was chirping to me. SO darn cute!

Well, this morning I was greeted with FOUR lovely, lively chicks. 3 Colloncas and 1SP Queche... not sure which is the Queche? Another Collonca is zipping!

Now have 4 Colloncas and 1 SP Queche under the Brinsea brooder. 2 more Colloncas are zipping. I will try to get pictures this evening, depending on how they are doing. If they are still adjusting, it will probably be tomorrow.

Congrats!! I wish I could get my hands on some collonca eggs or chicks. It's been somewhat difficult getting a hold of yashar. Anyone know of any other breeder or person who might have collonca chicks or eggs?

He? posted a little over a week ago that he had no more eggs for this year. My layer flock went into molt and went from laying 13 eggs a day to 3 - 4. I have never figured out why they lose their feathers when the weather turns cold.
