Color blind?

Does anyone know if chickens can see in color?

They can see red as they will peck at anything that color. A injured bird will be pecked to death by other chickens if blood is visible. Red colored brooder lamps are used so everything looks red. lol

I've been told chickens can see more colours than we can.

Ha, yeah. My hens were laying everywhere but the nesting boxes so I bought some plastic Easter eggs to put in the boxes. They were brightly colored but I ended up using the green ones. Hope it works.
