Finally got some sunshine. Heavy rain coming overnight. Freezing rain/snow north and west of us, and I'm happy to miss that.

Looks like it's going to be an indoor weekend. Sigh.

I happened to wake up half an hour before my alarm and it was just raining lightly. Got up, got Freya her potty walk, got inside before the skies opened and it poured.

We have a beautiful weekend on tap after it warms up from a night in the 20Fs. A family cookout on Sunday is planned.
I think that I will go cut up fallen trees today and work off some of the delicious Persian food that I ate at book group last night.
What a special treat that dinner was!

Good Morning,
Hot chocolate drink is ready...had coffee early before 4am so now is chocolate drink.

I can not find the mini grinder tool...not sure who/what/where..so I went through a hectic process of cutting my dogs nails with the dog nail clippers. It is not as a clean cut as the grinder would do...Got to find that thing for next time!!

The weather over here is getting cooler, still a bit of rain here/there. I have put out flannelette bedding/doona.

I got the roost installed, the little trough feeder made and hung, the door from the sheltered run out to the pen fabricated and installed and got the long row of fence posts set. Things went downhill rapidly when I went to push one of the last three fence posts in for the short length of fence while wearing my coop shoes and pushed on the little metal blade at the bottom of the post and it punched through the ball of my foot. I could feel my sock immediately start soaking with blood. I'm going to try to get a tetanus shot on Monday. I haven't had one since 2011.

That sound very painful. I hope you can still walk, might be some antiseptic cream for now.

I immediately thoroughly washed my foot then scrubbed it with betadine and put a bandage on it.
