Color Faverolles are these?

If correct color, type etc, is important to you, check out some actual breeders.

I’m new to chickens and no correct color isn’t important. I don’t know every stage of color and how it changes from baby chick to adulthood so I figured I would ask some people whom know. Your snarky “check out a breeder” wasn’t needed. I don’t want a breeder chickens, just want some people to say something along the lines of what people have said minus you. For all I know these chicks could turn brown/black. I’ve really enjoyed the process from baby chick to now and how much they change and google isn’t always the most helpful with these beginning changing weeks. I thought that’s what this forum was all about!

While I understand that individuals would like birds to remain true to type, it's to be expected that you won't generally end up with EQ chooks from a hatchery. They simply aren't breeding for that.

Not to say ALL hatchery birds are bad quality. Far from it. :) Some businesses have better reputations than others.

Thank you for that. I’m new to the chicken world, although I know breeders are different than hatcheries I didn’t know how much they can be off or not in general, plus I know very little about each breed to know exactly how hey develop and change and so far they seem to change pretty significantly from their original colors and continue to change now.

I'm sure she didn't mean it in a snarky way, she was just being informative. If the color is important, an experienced breeder that breeds for proper traits will have birds that are closer to the standards of the breed.

Maybe not, I guess I didn’t seem to think my post was focused on true color
And more of a general color as google as sooooo many different colors

If I know DD, there was absolutely no malicious intent in her post. She was only directing you to a breeder in case you were interested in top notch birds. :) It wasn't an insult towards you or your pretty Faverolles, simply a blurb of helpful information.

Very true. And some color varieties are much broader than others at the ranges you will see. That's once reason why "Standards of Perfection" exist, so that breeders can work toward a common goal.
