It mentions that green/grey eyes can be an indicator of cancer.
Young, immature birds frequently have grey or green eyes. They usually develop their adult eye color once fully matured.

Thanks for replying.
They still have green eyes even when they have their adult feathers, I sold the male. The pullet I kept she is 9 months old I think. And still has green eyes.

Depending on the light sometimes the eyes look yellow

I have the parents of the brother and sister, I do not want to get the male back and breed him. If I bred the PARENTS would all of the babies have green irises since these two did?
The pupil is not green, And green irises is somehow linked to cancer? Is there a chance they don't have cancer? I thought both parents had a reccessive gene fore eye color but then BOTH babies wouldn't have green eyes would they?

I crossed breeds to see what color I would get and I like Cochins and I didn't have a Cochin rooster at the time.

I just have a backyard flock, not really breeding for perfection right now.

Does green irises mean they have cancer?

I had a chicken a while ago who had white pupils at a certain angle of light and she had a bump in the corner of one eye. Before she died she just stood in one place puffed up. I think she died of cancer.
