Color Help...

I'm fairly certain, those pictures are about a month old... he has gotten very manly lately! His comb is very red and he is the biggest of his hatch group.

You are welcome to some eggs from him. He is only about 3 months old now. I may set a couple from him and the black Ameraucanas this winter to see what happens. I still owe you some blue wheatens too!

All my lavenders hatch solid colored. So I would guess probably a splash.

I only have lavender bantam ameraucanas available now. In the spring I'll have LF lavenders. You might be able to get some from BYC member Shaffer now. I don't know what he has available.

JD, I'm going to wait till Spring and my next broody, but yes, I'd like that. Since I apparently have hens more prone to broodiness than I used to have, the plan is to let them do the work for awhile.

That is a beautiful color. Have you color experts come to any consensus on it? love the lavender too. I have only had a few real Ameracaunas, and they were white. But really white.
