Welcome to the Springs (belated). I am just building my coop on the South Side, actually just over the city limits in the county. There are several breeders nearby if you want locally bred. I'm actually working on getting some Barred Rocks from OK, cuz I couldn't find breeders nearby. But I'm getting some Black Australorps and Welsummers from a breeder in fountain.

Be sure and watch Craigslist, as a lot of people either breeding and selling, or giving away chickens will advertise there. If you are new to the Springs, be sure your birds can handle both the cold and the heat we get here.
