Colorado Springs Colorado

Hello,
I am in Fountain, CO
I am new to the Chicken World.
I have a few chickens that are kept with a friend in Midway. (he has more room)
He sells his Pullets thru layers on Craigslist at 2 months, 3 months, 4/5 months.

I have a chicken license here in Fountain and may transfer a few here some day.
However I am only allowed 10 hens here in the city limits.

I'm not in Co. Springs, but go there to shop at Costco, King Soopers, Whole Foods, and Vitamin Cottage. We live in Westcliffe, which is about 2 hours away, but Co Springs is the closest Big town to us...Pueblo is closer, but no Costco or Whole Foods.
Any one there into turkeys?
We just retired and bought 35 acres and are trying to do the country thing. Started last year with 14 pullets and a cockrel from Meyers, then bought 3 goats kids from a lady I met on line, then added 5 Narragansett poults from a local guy...Craigs List... and never worked so hard or loved it so much as when I had a "real" job

Welcome to the group. ACLV and buffchicks. Don't get much action on this little group. Maybe we can get some interaction. My girls are laying now. Been getting peewee and small eggs. This morning an extra large blue. Awesome!!!!

ACLV, all those postings have expired. Links lead to error messages. Would like a 3 month old girl to replace the chicken that turned rooster. Can you get a $10 girl. Thinking an australorp might be a nice add.

Hello to all! Hope this thread does pick up, would be nice to get chicken people in and around Colorado Springs to post here on a regular basis! I am downsizing my bantam flock, so have some nine month old pullets and a few of their chicks available, must go as a family, as I don't want to break them up. PM me for more information.

Suncatcher, chicken math runs amuck in my back yard. Love the idea of the batum but need to be careful with my numbers. My step2 playhouse coop only has so much room. How many chicks are involved?Of course cost is also an issue.

Got most of my coop done. First night my girls are outside in the coop. 8 weeks old. Two buff orps and two barred rocks. I put the heat lamp in since they have been indoors since I got them, and it is 20 degrees
