Colorado

Woo Hoo!

My daughter, Heather, found the last part she needs for her car, the left headlight assembly! And it was in Colorado Springs!

A 2 day turnaround on a wrecked car isn't bad! It should be driving within 2-3 hours.

Has anyone heard anything good on local craigslisters and the chicks they are hatching? The one in peyton and in black forest. I am in the market for a couple of chicks that my girls can raise. It will be a learning expeeience for them.

I have chicks hatching, hopefully, tomorrow. These little guys will be mutts but beautiful ones. ;-) The reason I said hopefully is I lost power to my incubator for a few hours about a week ago. I last candled on lockdown on Tuesday and I think, fingers crossed, I'll be ok but it's the first time I've ever had that happen.

Just be careful with CL.

Pozees: Fingers crossed they'll make the kit right.
Wendell: So very happy you have found the parts needed.
Adam: Hatching is an incredible experience.

Welcome to BYC all the Newbies! It's exciting to see so many new people on here.

I guess my quote and reply didnt work correcly. You have to love a new phone. Muts are a great chicken to raise. I got my original chicks from a lady in Falcon. They have been good girls. Let me know if you are going to distribute some of the chicks. I would be interested.

The black/white one is the dom mix. I believe the daddy roo is the silkie. These guys are 3 weeks old. The black/white is slower to feather and the under feathers are coming in wispy.

I'll let you know how many come. I'm hoping that the temperature in there was enough to prevent damage. I suspect mommy chickens leave for some time during the day so have my fingers crossed.

I got my coop today! Yay!

Now to put it together. I might have chickens by Saturday. Anyone going to the chicken/small animal small on Saturday? It is at 51st and Ward in Westminster.

Scott
Hey Scott, do you know what the times are for this swap? I used to live a mile down the road from here and I can't think of where they would put a swap. At 52nd and Ward there's an empty lot ??? And these streets are on the borders of Arvada on the north and Wheatridge on the south.

The swap at Wardle and Sons at about 40th and Wadsworth is pretty good. Not sure when this one is but I know Eric Fullenwider was there last time I went. Several sellers.

Grass fire near Big R... not too far from my house. Good thing is there is no wind. Bad thing is it is very dry out there.
