Colorado

So far, the swap has one person with ducks, and another with some cattle dog mix puppies and a couple chickens. We are going to come back in about an hour to see if anymore people show up. Keep you all updated.
Oh, and it's in a tiny parking lot at a business.

I just got an inubator and am soo curious to try it out. But we don't have a rooster so all of my eggs are infertile. Does anyone want to trade eggs? I would love to try out some fertile eggs.

Where do you live?

edit: pictures of babies shortly. have to charge my camera as my phone cam sucks.

At the swap now. A few ducks and two puppies and a rhode island red rooster and black sex linked pullets left.

Indeed.  No walls.  No calls returned.  LM that I want a full and immediate refund.  We shall see.  I am furious.  Will flag every ad I see him post on CL, and will report to the BBB.

We are deciding which path forward has the likeliest chance of success.  Feeling sorry for myself is not as satisfying as seeing a shed go up, I must say.  I emailed a local shed builder to see whether he will be able to assist, and if all else fails we will be framing walls ourselves, etc.  Bob still doesn't like the way the floor Guillermo built is warping, but that has been our experience with pressure treated lumber the last several years, it is very frustrating.  I do not expect the immediate refund I requested/Guillermo promised, but will endeavor to make it difficult for him to do business for the foreseeable future and/or until I get a refund and forge ahead.  People who seem contrite are often not.  I no longer consider him a nice guy who is bad at customer service, I consider him a crook.
I would call Tom Martino, who helped us out with a fencing company years ago. The word should get out on folks like this! You may get your refund quicker this way. He knows the ins and outs of bad business.

you have a website now... add a page of your experience. just make sure it is true. I'll get the word out to my friends online as a beware.

I'll have some chicks available in the next week or so... i'd like to keep these guys long enough to make sure they are all healthy. I ended up with 9 and will most likely keep 2 or 3. But the rest need new homes. Make me an offer, either in feed or in cash. I'll have pictures up sometime today if i can find the cam cord.

All of my marans mixes hatched (4) and 5 of my green eggs. I didn't have two hatch and development looked like it stalled around day 13. So far, the maran mixes have been the strongest. I am not sure if that is because these came from a colorado hatch originally or if it has to do with the fact they are older and thus more the favorite of my black beauty. I still do not know the color that the eggs will be. The ee crosses should lay colorful eggs, the maran crosses should lay darker eggs.

Hi All,
I have my incubator up and running. The temp is a constant 100 degrees and my humidity is at 58%.
As a first timer, is this correct? I've read that I should get another thermometer to double check the temperature.
Any recommendations? Thanks!
