You may try ebay for the heating element and wafer thermostat. I saw a few on there a while back, under incubator parts. I cant remember which brand of incubator however. So the wife gave me a firm "no" when I asked to make another incubator.. So I was digging around in the garage to see what I could make it with when I stumbled on a ceiling fan I bought 2 years ago still in the box(was on clearance for 45$ had a remote etc.) any way I took it back to lowes said I couldn't find the receipt and they gave me store credit! $96 to be exact! So I was able to purchase the plywood, latches, piano hinge, door gasket and I still have $25 left in credit. I even splurged a bit and bought some high dollar 3/4" Maple Hardwood plywood. If it doesn't incubate eggs it sure will look sharp!
Now to convince the wife to let me get the heating element and the wafer thermostat...
Edited for spelling.
