BIRD AND ANIMAL SWAP. There will be a swap and sale Saturday March 16. It will be at Sweeney's West in Pueblo West from 7AM TO 11AM. . This is your monthly chance to sell or buy farm and ranch related items, birds and livestock. . Admission is free. $5 Seller fee . For more information or directions call 719-320-3092.

It is nice to see a swap South of Denver. It's about half an hour less drive time for me too.

Hmm, I may try to make that one, it's only about 30 minutes from my house. I have pullets no longer under heat that I might bring if they aren't sold by then. I get nervous about bringing birds other places and then back here, always worry about biosecurity, you know? Have to think about it I guess.

According to the internet. It can keep up to 3 months then the fats in the pellets go rancid. I have enough freezer room at this point. I would bet I can keep it in there for a couple of months longer easily. Basically, you would need a cool dry place to store it.
Update. According to Nutrena. Theirs can be stored for up to six months if stored in a cool dry place. I think colorado durring the winter and early spring qualifies as cool and dry. Except the past two weeks. Unusually wet would be the correct answer.

I will take a pic tomorrow, should have the roof done by the end of the day - We had almost half done Sunday, then Monday and Today Bob finished that side and did about half the second side, so with a little luck, tomorrow when I get home it will be done or darned close :) Then one more door, foam around the doors and windows, soffits, and paint.

So, I have been planning to use floor and porch paint on the floor, once I get it cleaned up, it's just OSB. Is there something I should use to clean it first since we've tracked so much dirt in there? And, is there something I should consider as an alternative to floor and porch paint?

I let the chickens catch their own grasshoppers in the summer. It is great fun to watch. This keeps the grasshoppers out of the garden as well as the chickens.
I wish I lived in an area where I could let mine out like that. But I have to keep them contained for now. And under the radar. Some day, though. :)
