Not knowing what we are seeing, the answer is yes, it could possibly interfere with eating or....... she may grow out of it. Let's hope for the best!

Is it ok to have two females & one male?Would you take a male and a female?
The lighting its hard to tell. Pictures of where his/her feathers are coming in will help. The males are going to have a lot more white barring & the females will have more black barring.
YAY! for chickies. I've got chick fever bad.Originally Posted by WendyGeisler

Haven't heard from Hazel's owner yet....hopefully he/she will contact me tomorrow!! I'd love to have her!![]()
And here's good news! I candled my eggs tonight that I set a week ago, and I have 3 very active embryos!!![]()
The other 3 I think are no good but will check again on day 10 (Friday) and decide then.....
Greetings... long time no see.
A bit of a high-jack here.
I am in need of a new Vet for my cat here in CS. Anyone have someone they like/trust?
thanks,
Mo
Awesome. Thanks! :-DI wouldn't stress yet about that one. You will have lots of options if you get a roo. CL, BYC locals, chicken swaps,.....
Onstad1 there's a vet on the south side (actually more like Security/Widefield/Fountain area) right on 85/87, James Graf, I think his practice is Fountain Creek or Fountain Valley Vet? Great vet, very caring, very honest, I used him until I moved to Pueblo, and even after that took a cat to him to be euthanized when she was at death's doorstep, and he was incredibly kind, waited for my son and Bob to get there to say goodbye even though he most certainly needed the exam room for other patients.
I also like Dr. Graf as well. My MIL uses that office, and I did as well till I moved to Peyton.
x2 - certainly worth keeping an eye out but Cochins are generally more mellow than some others. I have one in my laying flock (we call her Li'l Lotta') and have some shipped eggs in the incubator now, because we are so fond of the one we have. She is probably just fine and more mellow. They are all different, even within the same breed. As long as she keeps eating and drinking and growing at her own pace, no worries apparent.
