Today was day one of coop construction! Man oh man, this is going to be a lot of work. I wish the weather was nicer, but we got the frame for the floor and one wall. Slow going but hopefully we will have it done in some decent time for the girls!

Holy Moly!!! My order from McMurray arrived today. 28 peepers, no shipping notice. Hatched 5pm on the 15th. Called for pickup by the post office at 7pm today. That's a 26 hour ship time!

I am thrilled to have the peeps before Sunday, just WOW...

I've been turning the heat lamp off during the day with my 4 week old chicks all week and turning it back on during the night. Do u think its ok to leave it off all night yet?

It looks like you have some sweet building skills...do you think it is ok that we have 32" in between the wall studs?

I think you should be fine. I've had mine off over night. I would leave it off except I have younger chicks mixed in right now.

I don't like to go over 24 inch spacing. Thats just me. If I had more money, I would have gone with 12 inch spacing, cuz I like overkill.........
