His big brother is a bit of a jerk but learning to deal with the situation
I take trips up to Denver to see my friend Abi. We usually pop down to the farmer's market on Santa Fe as part of our running around. We met Matt & CJ there last month when they came in from the wild west
OMG!!! Have to toot my horn hear. Just found out that a pair of grey calls that I hatched and raised last spring and then sold to a really nice family out of Denver just won Grand Champian call hen at the Stock Show. And the drake grey call won Res. Grand Champion. they were my second attempt at hatching call ducks. This makes all the time and effort I put into the hatch and raising worth it. I have to thank Linda out of western Colorado for the eggs. She was kind enough to give me the eggs and look what we got. Plan to hatch some more this spring.
Okay, under the Denver Craigslist for Farm and Garden there's an ad for Poultry Breeders. Says they're having a meeting that will help you learn to sell your birds for meat to the various establishments looking for organic, heritage....whatever. So they're charging 15 bucks for this luncheon and I'm just naturally suspicious so I'm betting it's a "buy this and you'll be a success" thing but I'm hoping that it's something else and if nothing else I can do some networking with other prospective poultry breeders. Anyone want to go with me or meet me there?

Saw the listing. Sunday, Jan 30. Doesn't give a time. I'm thinking about it but to be honest, I think if I just advertise on craigslist that I have all-natural chickens, and find someone to dress them for me for a small fee (hint hint Coloradans), then surely I could make a LITTLE money. After all, I have only 2 acres.
So far, I have more buyers for my eggs than I have eggs. If I mentioned I have a few chickens, it should work too.
yes, absolutely. And I know that hudson locker charges only $4 per bird others may be closer to you or offer a better price.
There's always the possibility of a "chicken party" too. Craigslist seems to have meat birds listed quite often.
