Mine are not from Ideal. I am tempted even though I know I do not have room for more. I think in the future I may do their summer sale just not this year. The prices on the summer sale ones is good. I know the breeds you are looking for are not on sale but from other threads folks seem pleased with them.

Of course show quality or super good birds always cost more.

Mine are pets with the benefit of eggs.

Just cause I think she is pretty here is a pic of the light Brahma from Mt Healthy. We named her Jasmine.


The Dark Brahma has developed much more and is also close to breed standard now. Jasmine is still closer to show quality.

Thank you. They are sweet birds. Cinders not shown in the pic is a dark Brahma and has a bit of an attitude lol. She bites sometimes. Mostly my wedding ring. OOOOHHHHH SHINY! lol

Mini rant..............

Tomorrow is my b-day. I want to do something simple like staying out of the heat. Maybe catch a movie or something.

DH took it upon himself to enter the Harley in a motorcycle and car show.

He wants me to go with. OH GOODIE, another day of blazing heat stuck in a parking lot all dang day.

It's your B-day, so I would do something that you want, like a picnic up in the hills or something else cool and then meet for dinner and he can buy! That is what I would do only I would be riding my horse off somewhere and meeting with my family later. my2cents

That is what I am thinking. LOL or I make him go to the butterfly pavillion for his b-day. Maybe the doll museum.

I find a nice shopping experience at the mall and then swing by the grocery store to be a relxing experience

NOT

I would rather set my head on fire and extinguish the flames with a sledge hammer.
Take him to the mall then grocery shopping. It will be a great experience for him on his birthday.

OK, so first off, Happy Birthday! Maybe it's all a ploy to take you on a bike ride up into the mountains for a day get-away? That's something along the lines of what I'd do... Make you think it's one thing that you'd really not want to do, and then turn it into something you'd create happy memories about

Nope it is really a bike and car show. Perhaps a ride on Sunday will work. Maybe up the canyon if the rain we are getting right now does not loosen any rocks.

I would do the mall torture but alas I do not like to shop at all. I would also rather set my head on fire and put it out with a sledge hammer.

His friend told him what I was planning to do to him for his b-day. He now thinks it is ok if I do not attend the show. He now understands how much I dislike the idea of sitting in the hot parking lot so people can drool over his bike.

Maybe while he is at the show I will go buy ducks. LOL

The bike and car show is for a charity so I cannot fault him for it as much.
My son thinks it would be fun to take a chicken to the butterfly pavilion. (Bear in mind he is a full grown man and likes a good laugh. Usually at my expense.)

My son took me out to dinner. I thought that was nice of him.
While we were there it started raining. Then rained really hard. Lots of thunder going on tonight. That means I have 2 more chickens. Great big black chickens (dogs) that had a fright from the thunder and tried to hide in my room. They can open the door and I forgot to lock my room. My closet was a mess since they tried to hide in there. Pretty sure they tried to hide under the covers since they were all on the floor.

Hoping the rain hits California's fires too.
