Are you wanting plastic sheeting or panels? Greenhouse rated or regular?

I use 6 mil HEX from Home Depot on my low tunnels. Greenhouse megastore has been a source for me. The prices are ok....not great but ok.

I need plastic sheeting for an 8x10 hoop greenhouse. Just need material strong enough to withstand the weather somewhat.

I use the hdx on my hoop run with clips from the greenhousemegastore.

I have the sides raised in this pic. You can see I put pvc pipes along the length and that is what I clip to.

Same pvc is used to make my low tunnels.

The drifts :he

With the storm about a week ago the snow drift finally breached our 5ft snow fence. With yesterday's wind, it's now creeping and building across the driveway and around the coops. :th I've also been having issues with all these storms dropping a foot of snow and then it being 45 degrees a day later and the ensuing melting and flooding and poop puddles. It's not usually wet enough for drainage issues, but we have so much snow this year the meltoff has nowhere to go!

My peafowl greenhouse did not do well during the blizzard. It was already weaken from the hail damage last summer & the wind yesterday just ripped panels right off. Thankfully, none of the birds were injured. Just got snowed on. I’ll be happy to see this winter over.

Hello everyone,:frow
I was a member here about 7 yrs ago, but I lost my chickens and just now have returned with 4 new babies. :weeI live in NW CO. I could really use some help with getting my coop ready for the extreme cold we get here. Yes I know it's almost spring LOL but I want to use this time to plan and get ready to modify it. I will take pics and post later today, I'm waiting for it to warm up just a bit more :) As I said I have 4 new babies, 2 RIR and 2 BSL. I bought them from IFA and forgot to ask how old they were, I'm guessing about 2 weeks. They are very active and seem very healthy. I have one that seems to like to nap while the others are running around, then they decide to nap with her and a few minutes later she will get up run around a bit then go wake the others, it's a pretty funny cycle. Other then the chickens, we love the outdoors hunting, camping, fishing, gardening. I don't like winters and the cold so that's when I get back into quilting and crafts.

Ok got some pics taken, First I have to show off my babies and if anyone has an idea of their age that would be great. Don't the best pics sorry.

Ok now the coop. I normally cover the open air base with blue tarp as you can see in the pics. I uncover it during the summer. The roosts are up towards the roof, but they are in line with the small vent holes which allows cold air to blow in and on the chickens. That can't be good. Can I lower the roosts and maybe add some installation to the inside of the ceiling to help keep it warmer? I can't add it to the walls inside as it will make the area to small for them. Adding artificial heat is not an option. The temps can get down to -20 where I'm at so anything I can do to help would be great. Thanks everyone.

I am not a fan of those coops at all.

They are to small and don't do well in providing ventilation.
:hmm

Are you handy at building?
