I'm up in the north east area. This storm isn't looking too good for us. We're supposed to be going to Denver to see Seseme Street Live for my son's birthday Saturday. I hope this storm is just as poorly predicted as most are here. I'm so ready for it to warm up already! My living room is full of all my vegitables I planted way too early. I've got to get them outside!!!
We can see how dark it is out your way from out here on the prairie. Heard about the hail on 105.5... I'm sure we'll get it later tonight. I chased the chickens in early today wen it started to cloud up... but then the sun came out again... so they think I'm just plain nuts now. I just don't want to be putting them away and battening down the hatches when the bad weather is already upon us!
We're hoping for 3 feet here! My kids don't believe we'll get much of anything since they've been wrong ALL winter thus far. I'd hate to be a forecaster in Colorado - it's got to be so hard with the mountains messing things up.
I'm setting up my own weather station that will end up getting uploaded there (anyone can do it). The longer I spend there, the more cool stuff I find (did I say I was a weather geek
anybody getting any snow yet? We're on the Palmer Divide. We have about 2 inches on the ground along with cool thunder. Freaks the chickies out though.

Haha! We look to the right and see Colorado Springs with black, HUGE towering thunderheads... look to the left to the Wet Mountains and not much
Well, how's everyone doing so far? We've got a good 6 inches and it's coming down heavily right now. It's so beautiful, especially because it isn't windy so the snow is just floating down! I love that.... we usually have such strong winds that we get huge drifts in places and other places of bare ground. Today we're getting a nice even snow covering.
