yay! i got my coop and run!


it still need some painting inside and the walkway between the door and the run build but we're alot closer now!

there are 4 more nesting boxes on the other side and the roosts go the entire 6 ft length

the vents on back

this is the foor.. not sure if i want to keep the wire or throw some plywood over it..... opinions?

Gail you shouldn't have said anything about Wardles selling chicks this year . The good thing is they are too far away to just pop on over anymore

I noticed too that the pasty butts were absolutely horrible up here in the farm stores. I even talked to the manager about it at Bomgaars. That it will kill them if it's not taken care of. He said "Usually our girl that does this is more on the ball with it". But you could tell it hadn't been done at all. Hence the little bantams I have out in an unplanned brooder right now

My Dom chicks had a little pasty butt developed. I added about 1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar to 1 quart water in their waterrers, and it was gone in 2 days. That being said, it may be they just got used to the food.....
 
Oh I know but not everyone has that option and Home Depot will be able to work with the HOA and have their coops approved by the HOA for those who don't want to deal with that mess. (I fount out that the HOA determines the stock they carry) The more stores that carry this stuff the more options the consumers have and the better for local the economy.
