Colorado

Oh, and I forgot to mention, someone was sneaking into our yard and trying to mess with the ladies. We found the main coop door open twice. Once two of my older ladies met me at the bottom of the porch. Color me not happy. Now we have a no trespassing sign on the gate to the back and locks on the gate and coop. I don't have proof of who it was but I don't really believe in coincidence.

One thing has me really concerned though... My ladies in the coop closest to the suspect neighbors fence have been sick. The docs second question was about toxins but I nixed the possibility because we don't even use fertilizer. There were only two symptoms, rapid weight loss and one of three with neurotic issues. It started out with just Cher being sick but now the other two are loosing weight too. So is it an illness or slow poisoning?? I have nothing in the way of proof either way, just voicing a worry that occurred to me.

So the post office calls this morning that our chicks are in. I am at work. So I ask my wife if one of our sons (both adult, single, cboth currently unemployed, but with prospects) can go to the PO and get the chicks. Sure. Then the younger one calls and informs me that they are both supposed to be at a friend's house working for them today...... They call and let them know they will be late, (45 min round trip to PO and back). They drop off the chicks at the house and leave. My poor wife is at the house, all alone with 50 new chicks and the 6 older ones. LOL. She said all went well, but would like it if I can come home early. I tell her I have the FAA at work today, and that probably won't happen...... Photos later today. She says they are running around to much to see how many we actually have, as the hatcheries send addition chicks with each order, but she said all were alive and seemed to be healthy.

The best part of the HOA is when they have a Lawyer on the board or as a friend and charge you "reasonable" legal fees (i.e. $1200 -$1900) and there is nothing you can do about it.

Set up an infrared trailcam and in very short order you'll have a photo of exactly who it is...what a surprise it will be when the sherif shows up on their door with a photo of them and asks for an explaination of their actions...

I agree to the camera, I had a neighbor poison a dog of my families and my rabbit when I was in High School. We could never prove it but we did catch the guy trying to feed the dog before it happen. People can do some amazingly hurtful things and often to animals because they don't see them as living creatures and they can't just attack you to get revenge. However the police won't do anything unless you have solid proof. Good luck.
