Today, as I build chicken coops and hopefully finish them up, I will be thinking of my Dad, who taught me about chickens, and fought in WW2. He was a POW in Germany for just under 6 months, being captured early in the Battle of the Bulge. For the remainder of his life he dealt with the effects of his experience. Today, lets all remember those who have served in our nation's military branches since 1775. I have ancestors who fought against the British forces in the Revolution, in the war of 1812, in the War between the States, WW1 and WW2, and a son who just got out of the Air Force!

No injuries.

Today we got all the sheathing on, all the sheathing painted, all the egg doors on, all the cleanout doors on, some of the screen on the windows and vents, and some of the trim on the coops. We are all very tired, but made great progress.

Hi, I am from NE CO near Wiggins. I grew up with chickens, however I am just now getting my own. I love to sit and watch them at night.

I got my last coop finished this weekend!!!! Now I just need to complete the run. The new ladies will come out of the bathroom/ brooder in 2 weeks!!!!

And yes, Saturday was too windy to do anything in my area. We had 70mph gusts!!!!!
