Colorado

Hi Chick N Ug,

Welcome. I do still have both roos.

Roo #1 has a crooked toe. I'm trying to find out if that's something he'll definitely pass on to offspring or not, and which of the two are the best conformation for Cuckoo Marans. I know they're not feather legged but I would still like it to represent the breed in the other aspects.

Are you in the county then?

chicksahoy ( or anyone for that matter) we have 2 Mottled Houdans looking for a good home that were hatched 2-11-09 (Ideal Hatchery) if you're intereseted FREE

Hi!
I'm new to BYC and live in Broomfield. I want to raise a few (I mean, like three) Seramas, but where I live it's against code.

Anyone know of a situation in Lafayette, Louisville or Boulder where I could legally sublet a few nesting boxes in a coop, maybe in exchange for chicks or help with cleanup/chores? I know, it sounds hilariously ridiculous

, but I am investigating my options.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It seems to me I've heard of Co-op's where you help take care of the chickens and they let you have a share of the eggs. They might also let you contribute chickens to the co-op.

I don't recall exactly where I heard it, it might be a neighbor hood thing. I'll see if I can find out. I'm pretty sure it was in reference to Boulder.

Edited for typos

Yooowhooo...? Anybody on *my* side of the divide?

I feel very lonely out here on the Western Slope!

Wild Western Colorado
(in the Flattops, near Steamboat, Meeker, Glenwood...well, on the road to nowhere, actually....)

Edited 'cause I just noticed chicksahoy in Cedaredge and rootball in Aspen! Comrade Chickoskis! Yippee!

Yeah, I did a little research and did find that there are a lot of CSA farms (Community Supported Agriculture). A few raise chickens, so I'm going to contact them and see what they say.
