I read this in todays paper, had to share:

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Colorado Division of Wildlife officers have tranquilized a deer that crashed through the window of a Colorado Springs motel room.

Police say the deer hit the window and smashed through it at about 5 a.m. Friday at the Nevada Motel, in the 1000 block of South Nevada Avenue.

One man was inside the room at the time. He told a Colorado Springs television station he thought a rock had been thrown through the window, but soon realized it was a deer and corralled the animal into the bathroom.

The panicked deer destroyed the toilet and flooded the room.

The man says he's a maintenance worker for the hotel, so he'll have to repair the damage himself.

His name wasn't released.

The deer was removed from the room and relocated.

Hello to all,

Another newbie checking in.

Decided I couldn't post until I had made it thru all 60 pages. Just finished - what a fun group hangs out here.

Waiting for my order of 15 chicks from Cackle - hoping they ship on Monday and make it "out here" by Wed, but I'll just have to wait (not something I do well

)

We are now getting thunder and waiting for snow on Tues, June 2nd- gotta love it in Colorado!!

I have an Ameraucana/EE? rooster that I'd like to find a good home for.

Gonzo was hatched about 5 months ago. He is black with purple/green sheen to his feathers, and he has ear tufts, which make him look really nutty and alien...he has just started to crow.

I'll be happy to take some photos once the weather clears a little.

I can possibly deliver him, as I am making a trip to the Front Range next week. I also get to GJ fairly often.
