Just got back from the swap! I now have a beautiful new mottled Cochin bantam courtesy of Shy and I sold Snowi to a nice lady who fell in love with her! I hope I can get my computer back soon so I can post pics of my new girl.
I am debating names for her. She feels like a Matilda to me, but there have been some other names thrown around too. Martha, Melody... Decisions, decisions...

Congrats!

So I am thinking of offering my extra EE cockerels and Dom cockerels up for sale. anything in pen #1, your choice. $ 5 each. In a week or so I will offer them for sale on Craigslist for $10 or best offer. Those that do not sell will be processed.

Mayah: There is 1 EE pullet and two Dom pullets.

I'll be at the Wal-Mart in Fountain tomorrow fundraising with our youth organization so can pick them up afterwards?

So I took the boys to the swap in Wheat Ridge and gave them to a chicken farm who said they would find them homes. Unfortunately my boys were just one of the MANY roosters there. Having mutt roosters is not helpful when trying to rehome them. I met ShyCreations there and her beautiful silkies. Also met a few other people that are in the same rooster situation as me, well not exactly I had three and they had one, lol. One of the boys decided to crow for the first time known to me, helped confirm his sex. I am happy to have a family of six again, I will post some pic of my new girls I got the other day. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to rehome either of the two I kept

. On another note, I just assembled a two gallon bucket with water nipples, hoping that helps with the water situation. I will have to do some creative thinking on how to hang it since I have chickens of all sizes (same age though). Hope everyone else had a nice Saturday and stayed cool.

Wish I had met you Ehook. I left my 930 or so, promised DH I would come home as quickly as I could so he could get some things done. And I didn't want to be tempted to buy more pullets than the one I came for! I am BAD at chicken math when I go to a swap... Usually intend to but one and end up with two or three.
 At least, that's what happened last time.
