I'd like to get a few Americaunas, for my wife...not really interested in EE's.

I re-read this post this morning and it did not sound very nice.

My kids have done 4-H for many years. Americaunas and Auricaunas (sp) can be shown in the poultry judging. That would be an option for them to pursue with those birds. The Easter Eggers cannot be shown there is no EE division for them in 4-H.

And these 2 are going to end up being the best of friends, I'm sure (if they survive the first encounter).



Looking at the photos of the EEs...they are beautifull birds.

This past week I was lucky to get two, maybe three eggs from my three older hens. Then suddenly, 7! Lol my four pullets, as if by an agreed upon plan, began laying at the same time. I have three buff orps and four silver laced wyandottes and of course one slw roo, who has crowed his voice hoarse!

I don't think it sounded bad. In a couple of years I might look into getting a few APA standard Ameraucanas just for fun.
