I might have to remove my light, my girls are so stressed, or at least acting stressed about it. I can't get them to lay in the coop anymore and have to chase them in to it at night. It will be pick dark outside and the light to the coop is off and I still can't get them to go to bed. When I come to let them out in the morning they fall over each other to get out and the coop is a mess.

That does seem like a stress reaction. There is something about the coop that they don't like. I would start going through the list of things ie, space per bird, ventilation (high and low), placement of things, critters, etc Once a chicken homes in on a nest, coop, roosting place, they won't willingly give it up without a huge fight so it does seem odd that they have ditched the coop.

RIP Hattie. I would like to that everyone for their help and support. Hattie passed away this afternoon. She will be missed, she was so sweet and would do anything for a raisin.

It certainly wasn't due to lack of effort on your part.

With the light on at night the girls don't realize it's bedtime so they're throwing all nighters in the coop

My guess is to turn the light off and they'll get back to normal.

Ehook sorry to hear about your girl

Yeah, I know a couple of days ago she said either day would be good, and I'm torn - I would like to see at least some judging, and have no problem getting there right at 9, I'm like gardendufus, up very early, but then it might also be nice to have time to look at all the birds before the judging begins.  Shylee, if you're reading, can you tell us when most exhibitors arrive?

Hi! The showbirds must be checked in by 2 pm Sunday and there's time to view the birds while showmanship is held nearby. Monday morning does have judging occur which blocks some aisles but then its open after judging ends...the crowds get heavier though after say 10am. Glad to hear u r trekking up, will be great to see some BYC people. I just met dennarahl at th DUH swap yesterday.
