Colorado

Well, I'm toying with the idea of going to see Les Mis tomorrow. You're welcome to join me. Movies always more fun with someone else. Course I know that kind of screws up the family holiday thingy.

I won't quite know what movie we are going to see until tomorrow. I suspect a late morning and then it's chinese food and movie day. :)

Happy Whatever! :) It's Christmas for us, but whatever it is for you, I hope you are doing well and have a good day.

It's the first time since I've been married where we're going to be staying home as a family unit and just enjoying the day together. No relatives, no in-laws, nothing. The way my family used to do it when I was growing up. I am SO looking forward to it and am very happy to be done with all the family obligations. I'm hoping for just a little bit of snow so the chickens will come out and get to play outside (they're not fans of the snow), but we'll see.

Happy Holidays to my friends on BYC.

All this talk of hatching and chicks is giving me chick fever.

So has anyone experienced a cockrel trying to "ride" your arm. I didnt think anything of it when it first happened while he was in quarantine. Then he did it again yesterday. This time it was really clear what he was trying to do.

Same thing for us! This is our first year just being together at home. We did our ONE big family celebration today (my sister was... angry... and chose to make the worst of the situation but I just ignored that and had a GREAT time)! Next weekend we're driving out to visit the husband's family in Grand Junction and I'm actually looking forward to it... that's a first as well. :p We'll be getting our chicks in the middle of January.... I just feel like everything is really starting to fall in to place and I am SOO happy!

Happy Holidays, everyone!!

I'd give my eyeteeth to sleep until 5 LOL. Work days the alarm goes off at 2:45 and there are days the cats have awakened us before the alarm. The 2:45 time is due to my desire to not shift the time of everything we do by an hour when we fell back, because it would mean the girls got no time out of the run four days a week. Once we spring back ahead the alarm will go back to 3:45. Unless we get hooked on finishing work days earlier, of course. Anyway, no alarm this morning, cats were up around 2:45, I tried and tried to go back to sleep, gave up at 3:30. Made coffee, started a loaf of bread, did some cleaning, fed the cats, now it's time to open the girls' pop door and run gate, and give them their daily FF rations.

The sad part is bedtime is 7 pm. I guess we're just a couple of old fogies :) Or, dyed in the wool ag folk trying to work around the hours of daylight ... yeah, I like that much better! LOL

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!! We celebrated last night, as my mother is first generation from Europe, we always have Cristmas on Christmas eve. Woke up to about one inch of snow here, and was very cold last night!

Wishing everyone here at BYC a Blessed New Year!!!
