So, I really want a bantam polish frizzle, are these guys really that hard to find, I can't find any for the life of me.....what's the story anyone know?

They'll have some at elizabeth country corner (or kiowa) this season. If you want a boy, I have one or two I'd be willing to sell, but I'm keeping any girls I get (if any of them turn out to be girls). I know they're available through Ideal as well, but I'm not sure about the other hatcheries.

I'm have no idea. Your post was a funny joke, at no time did I or anyone else offer it for sale. I don't know. I am thinking of taking a break from BYC for a while. We talk, we make contacts, people talk about extra birds and filling the needs of others who frequent this thread. If that has been determined to be against the rules, its too bad. I has sent a PM to the moderator to find out what or who did something wrong. I already had my links to my facebook page removed by another moderator because it was deemed to be against the advertizing rules. I would advise all of us to remove links to external websites that even remotely could be determined to be a "for profit" website. Hopefully I won't get an infraction with this posting.

I'm have no idea. Your post was a funny joke, at no time did I or anyone else offer it for sale. I don't know. I am thinking of taking a break from BYC for a while. We talk, we make contacts, people talk about extra birds and filling the needs of others who frequent this thread. If that has been determined to be against the rules, its too bad. They removed my FB link too and gave me a warning. Unless I go platnium. $65 I think... Not worth it to post one link.

I wonder, can we post our business name and say we have a FB account without posting the link itself and be ok?

VENTILATION (OXYGEN)
Ventilation is VERY important during the incubation process. While the embryo is developing, oxygen enters the egg through the shell and carbon dioxide escapes. The embryo's oxygen requirement will increases during development and especially just before hatching when they begin lung functions. Unobstructed ventilation holes, both above and below the eggs, are essential for proper air exchange.

HOWEVER New Studies (Show Dr.Bramwell Discussion) have found that a slight decrease in oxygen the first 10 days (ONLY the first 10) creates a natural higher CO2 level which will naturally build in the incubator and add a little stress to young embryos which will force the embryo to survive and grow stronger, hatch earlier, hatch larger, grow stronger, grow faster and yeild more muscle mass at 6 weeks of age. PUT THE VENT PLUGS IN FOR THE FIRST 10 DAYS ONLY and then REMOVE ALL VENT PLUGS for the rest of the hatch! NOTE: When Lockdown occurs, vent openings are frequently restricted in an attempt to boost incubator humidity. Instead of helping the chick hatch, the chick is suffocated from lack of oxygen. Never decrease ventilation openings at hatching in an attempt to increase humidity. Increase humidity by other methods. If any vent adjustments are made, they should be opened more. Try adding a dampened sponge or towel to help boost humidity during lockdown.

That was about the ant grit joke? OMG! Serious. So did someone have their sensitivities hurt yesterday by the chicken skinning video I posted so a moderator had to come check out our thread and then noticed the joke? Anyone who had been reading the thread all alone knew it was a joke and not actually about selling your fire ant hill. Could you imagine? Selling your fire ants?

Gosh, if you can make money off of selling your fire ants, I'd give you some of mine.

There are other forums. I have learned that when forums like this get too dictatorial, people find other places to go. We all know that the buy, sell, trade section just sucks for local things. It's crazy to use a national buy, sell, trade section for local things. For eggs or for equipment, not a big deal but who's going to ship a full size bird? Gosh, just talking about our incubators could be considered buying advice and deemed not acceptable.

The sad thing is that this thread hasn't had issues with trollers, or issues with anything. We get into some tough topics like culling and butchering and stuff like that but it's what happens when you get a dedicated group of people who have moved past the,'hi, i'm joe, i have an addiction called chickens....' Ok, rant off.

The links being removed is just plain silly. I'm on a few other forums and people always have their webpages up. Heck, it's a chicken site for heavens sakes so our personal websites will most likely be about chickens.
