Colorado

whoops.

I would have bought those if I could have.
I just bought 3 EE from Jax's and tucked them under my broody hen. She is outside in a small pen alone with the chicks. She shoved them right under her and growled at me. She has always let me touch her and move the fake eggs I put under her. The minute I put the chicks down she got aggressive. I hope they are all ok outside. I think if I check on the chicks I'll have to use leather gloves. I don't think Mamma Broody will let me near. She had five fake eggs under her and I was only able to grab two before she got aggressive with me. It sort of freaked me out to see her go mental so quickly.
I gave the chicks some water and they ate some starter before I put them out with the broody. Was that a mistake? The people at Jax said the chicks were two days old, that they had to be two days for travel. I am worried the chicks will wander off looking for food.
Everything I read says if the broody takes them they will be ok...is that right?

Ahhhh, how adorable. No idea about your question but suspect they will stay near the warmth of their mama.

I think it was a good idea to make sure they had food and water first. What did the hen do when you put them out?

I can't have boys, other wise I would totally get a roo from you! Are you sure elizabeth is getting the frizzle polish, I didn't see it on their list?
Not sure about hatcheries, after my experienct e last time. I still haven't found any modern game bantams yet.

It says red frizzle bantam on the 29th, which is likely to be a cochin. ... And now I see you said polish. Doh! I need to quit responding late at night. Or was it early in the morning. Either way I not read so gud. Blah!

Anyone else ever have issues with yahoo mail? I got eight messages in a row sending emails that I had to prove I was a person by typing in that funky code. Then when it didn't send the first time I would enter the code and I ended up sending some emails three times because it kept saying it was stuck.
