S/he has developed goopy eyes, I think a pine shaving may have scratched one eye. The other eye never got as bad so I am hopeful it's just a slight mirror effect, just watering a little because the other was watering a lot. The one eye got very crusty and then had a flake stick to it. I have been treating with vetericyn throughout the day for the last two days.Well, here is hoping you get them sold before you get your next batch! What kind of eye problem? I really need to re-read this thread, missed many posts.
Quote: I would never have guessed that pine shavings could scratch the eye, good to know. I think once she is mended she will go quick, as she is a unique breed.
Congrats on your peeps!!They're peeping!
Nice work on a snowy day! I wanted to get some work done on the run today, didn't happen though. Hopefully in the next day or two. I'm hoping to get my chickies in their coop this week.Hey all fellow Coloradoans! The weather hasn't been cooperating but today we shoveled some of the snow out of the way and finished all of the posts for our future coop and run. I was so excited that I thought I would share.e DH is taking this week off and since the boys will be on Spring Break, the hope is to get the coop and enclosure started and hopefully well on its way to being done. The girls in the brooder would love to have a nice place to stay once they are ready and the temperatures are good. You can see the barn and our horses in the background and the shed to the right of the future coop/run.

They're peeping!
I had a coyote visit mine Saturday night or early sunday morning. I was not amused by the site of the prints. This does let me know i have them locked in pretty tightly however. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for this predator however.
