Took some more photos yesterday, these are of the 4 older RIR chicks. These hatched 3/29 and 3/30, and I think I have a cockerel and 3 pullets in this group. The one I'm pretty sure is a cockerel hatched from a Ron Fogle egg, and the 3 I think are pullets hatched from Greathorse (Paul) eggs, for those who follow the Heritage Rhode Island Red thread. Paul is here in CO. I just went to visit him this past Saturday and picked up more RIR eggs along with a dozen SLW eggs. His place and his birds are gorgeous, and he is a treat.
These first two shots I refer to as "Sky" shots and show the width of back. These are young birds so I expect more filling out, but if you notice the one in the middle of the three all together in this first picture, that is the one I believe is a cockerel, his back is the same width from shoulders to tail. That is very desirable.

In the third pic the cockerel is the one to the right

Here he is out front

Here the cockerel is the one to the left, the one on the right is one of the Greathorse chicks

Greathorse chicks in the front, cockerel all the way in the back, can just see his head

Cockerel out front again

Cockerel on the left and Greathorse chick to the right

Greathorse chicks

Greathorse chicks

Gratuitous butt shot
