Wendell, what are we going to do with him. How many hens do you have with him? I'm starting to wonder about him.

I only have him with 4 hens. His problem could be a few different things, from too much fluff, to no swimmers. I have mayah's microscope, I just haven't gotten around to checking. I will keep him until spring at least.....

I am in Texas, so getting updates from hubby and kids....

I'm Sorry

Minchi, talked to my friend who sold a house in Parker, he said the part of Parker that's in Elbert County, and especially Delbert Road he thinks, should be chicken friendly. He recommends a realtor named Jace Glick who works for Remax.

I am spoken to him before, I will talk to him. Thanks!

if aurora is close enough to make the boss happy, then elizabeth probably is too. the traffic from aurora to dtc is horrid, so time wise, it will probably take long to get to the dtc from aurora than it would from elizabeth or franktown.

The only house that we found that fit so far in Elizabeth does not allow chickens, and one other that would have worked but it is a 55+ community. South Aurora was a consideration but not any more, after my dealings I will not live there, ever. We are looking at Parker, Highlands Ranch, and Littleton areas. Maybe fringe of Parker Elizabeth.

Thanks for taking Aurora off your list - ha, ha! Every chicken that gets confiscated in Aurora ends up at my house and I'm full

. I know you want to be close to DTC, but with E470 you can sneak around from a lot of places out east and just come north up I-25 from the tollroad (speaking from experience, my husband used to work in the DTC). The closer you get to I-70 on E470, the cheaper the housing gets and the closer the line gets for unincorporated Arapahoe County. I think some of those places are actually listed as Watkins (which is technically where I live). It might be worth checking that out.

is anyone else having egg laying issues with their hens the last couple of days. Mine have only laid 2 eggs for the last couple of days. This would be out of six hens that usually lay between 4 to 6 a day. We got six Sunday. The kids and I did spray them down Sunday with some all natural lice remover stuff. Maybe this freaked them out. I guess time will tell. I just thought I would check and see if something was in the air or something.
