Treating the whole flock at this point is a must as all have been exposed. Only had two last night showing signs and isolated them. This morning two more have it. I will see if i can find some of that medication and get them all misted. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help. This is my first time dealing with something like this.
Pozee, what is the expiration date on the Oxine? Does it even have one? Thinking of buying a gallon, but not sure I would use it all up quick enough.Big R should have some Duramycin 10 powder you can add to drinking water for a broad spectrum antibiotic, just remember once you initiate treatment you should not consume the eggs laid for about 2 weeks after treatment ends.
The nice thing about the Oxine is it is also a fungistat and can be used for general purpose disinfection as well as misting and treating water. It is pricey (~$25/gallon) but goes a long way. Used together, you should be able to get the upper hand on all but the sickest, and even they may recover. Finger crossed for you.
OK, thanks! I also found it in quart size when I did a search, but if it has a long shelf life, I would rather buy a gallon and have it on hand!suncatcher I never thought to look, but I don't think it expires. I will look when I get home tonight.
