Trst, Check out Elizabeth/Kiowa Coutry Corner, I think they are getting some Porcelain D's in this year. It has been where I have bought all my laying hens, never had a problem, I have had very good luck with anything I bought at the Kiowa store.

We are finally getting some snow today, not a lot but it's been flurrying all morning, so maybe an inch by now? I don't really like it but we need the moisture badly. A breeze out of the East but nothing like the winds the other night. Thank goodness.
Suncatcher I completely forgot you have Welsummers - how long have you had them, and how well do you like them?

Oh, of course, I'm sorry! Your avatar reminds me of Suncatcher's and I'm easily confused these days .. well, all daysAre they pretty calm? I hope I get some to hatch, I know little about them except that they are very pretty and lay dark brown eggs - which to me means I probably won't be able to see anything but the air cell growing when candling. I don't think they are very common which surprises me, as everyone who has them says they like them very much. Are they decent layers?
If they are truly Bresse chickens, they are the holy grail in eating chickens. There is nothing else like them.
