EGG HATCHING UPDATE
8 are now out. 1 silkie and 7 larger ones. I am now at 66% hatch rate.

I am still expecting more to hatch. I will update as more pip and hatch.

I still haven't been able to decide on the breed of this chick. I was thinking EE since she didn't look too much like the other chipmunk breeds I could find but as she gets older I'm not so sure. She doesn't have a beard, has bright orange legs (brighter than the pic shows), and a single comb peaking through.

Here she is at a day old

Here she is now at 1 1/2 weeks

The maybe breeds are Cream Legbar, Barnevelder, Welsummer, Partridge Penedesenca, or EE.
I have found an example of each of these breeds that looks like this chick!

I know this is off topic, but it is livestock and colorado related, but does anyone know anybody with potbelly pigs available? We are looking for one.
Also, checked my 17 EE eggs, and it's looking like all of them have veins! we have about 2 more weeks to go, can't wait!

9 chicks out and two more have pipped. I have one that looks bloated and is not near as energenitic as the rest. Just lays around and cant really get up. Does anyone have a clue whats going on with it? It looks like its feet are swelled

samsr, sounds like your hatch is coming along pretty well! The ones that hatch swollen looking like that sometimes just need a little longer to get it together, and sometimes don't make it.

Careful on your trip to Golden, sounds like the roads might be tricky the first few hours of the day.
