Colorado

Anyone interested in bantam cochin eggs? I'll have at least 12 by Monday. Mostly mille fleur- 5 hens and roo; one brown red hen, one black split to mille and one mottled split to mille. My incub is full! Asking $25 total for the dozen, shipping included. Trying to keep them in Colorado for better hatch chances. Some parents below:

Hello Shy, Wow, that is a great deal! Wish mine would pick up on their laying..... Tiffany has checked out the nest for a couple hours, but then is off again, guess it is not the right conditions for her.

The sign at murdoch's was wrong. It said they would arrive on the 9th but when we were there I heard them saying the chicks wouldn't be there until the 10th. We went today and there were a few that arrived (porcelain d'uccle - hard to resist! and buff bantam brahmas) but no BLRW. I found a piece of paper that said they would be arriving tomorrow. So I'll be making a third trip to the feed store tomorrow! They let me buy one because they asked if we had other chicks.

I wish we could get the mille fleur cochin eggs but we are getting the house ready to put on the market so I don't want the incubator going.

So did you buy a Porcelain D' Uccle? Or the Buff Bantam Brahma? Never knew there were Bantam Brahmas! I saw some Bantam Buff Orpingtons on line today, never knew they existed either. Maybe one of your neighbors, or a good friend would like to learn how to incubate at their house, you could both share the hatch. Where there is a will there is a way.........

Surprisingly I didn't. I really wanted to but DH was having a hissy fit about the BLRW so I didn't want to push it since he was with me. Tomorrow it will be just DD and I so we'll see how much will power I'll have. ;)

You are stronger than I am when visiting the feed store with baby chicks! Looking forward to pictures of your BLRW!
