I shoveled my run out and opened the pop door. No takers on coming out. Not a one set foot on the ground.

Just goes to show chickens ain't as dumb as some folks think

We got a lot of snow in Aurora, hopefully a snow day tomorrow from school, roads aren't awfull going to mountains

@uzisuzuki your very talented and artistic, have you thought about designing egg labels for people?

Thank you very much (& to everyone else that left a nice comment that I can't quote directly)! I'm trained as an illustrator & sequential/fine artist, so if anyone was looking for serious branding of their products or business I'd have to advise them to find a professional graphic artist. If it was something like a basic logo design, I could maybe knock something out - like my blog's logo or the logo I tightened up for @trsturself (she pretty much had the entire thing done on her own, so that made it super easy on me). But if anyone is looking to market their business, it'll be costly but getting a graphic artist who can give you the design you're looking for is well worth it in the long run for your business.

I was getting super envious of everyone with their cute little fluffy chicks hatching right now since my Phoenix bantam eggs still haven't been shipped, but then I checked the forecast for this week & was glad I wasn't trying to hatch/keep chicks alive in this weather. I'm sure I'll need all the mild weather I can get if/when I get any chicks, if just to give the dogs somewhere to be away from the brooder.

The weather got really bad here last night & we got hit with the snow pretty good. The flock stayed in the barn to stay dry & I busied myself with 3 more eggs to get mysel feeling better from the TBI depression. Keeping busy with something & staying offline really helps me with that.

Your eggs are wonderful! It's really great to have something so fun and compelling to get involved with when you are feeling low. The "metal-deth" egg makes me laugh. You really could market those (all of them) and make a tidy little business out of it! Although your time involved is probably way more than you could ever recoup...

It's difficult to know you're not the same, even though you can't remember how exactly you're not the same, you know? It's difficult to know you're not the same, even though you can't remember how exactly you're not the same, you know? On the eggs, you could have a hot commodity if you decided to sell. Maybe you can give them to some lucky people as gifts. You could easily figure out a hanger for the and turn them into egg ornaments that people could hang as well.

Speaking of art, I came across this yesterday and now totally want to do this, gourd chicken art.

On the artist comment, I have a lot of artists in my family, my dad is a pro black and white photographer and my aunt and uncle live from their art as well. It is always the struggle, getting paid enough to cover costs to do what you love.

Same for my dad, he was a photographer in California, and loved it. I think he preferred working in his darkroom, and working on things he wanted, but, weddings were his bill payers. Weddings are fun, but lighting an object just right, is true art.
