Colorado

I'm pretty sure this duck is a drake that was sold to me as a female duck gah!!!
DK
I am no expert but all the drakes I had in the past had a classic tail feather that curled upward. I do not see one on that one but then I am not familiar with that breed. Mine were Swedish blues, Cayuga, and Pekin ducks. I am hopeful that it is a gal.

Yup, today is day 21! But there hasn't been any movement or pips yet. Getting a little nervous.

can't wait to see what you get!
I was just at Jax's in Lafayette and they have baby duck and bantams chicks. Is there anything cuter than a baby duck?

What a beautiful Colorado day!

I can't wait either! I heard 1 chirp earlier but still no pips. The wait continues.

This was a great weekend. We were outside all day yesterday, and again today. We finished the blackberry garden and it turned out perfect.

The last thing we need to do is dig a trench on the inside, around the perimeter, and we're going to line it with hardware cloth. That's to keep out the evil ground squirrels...because they're evil and everywhere! We actually gave that job to the kids yesterday, even brought my nephew over to help, so after thirty minutes we had eight feet of three in deep trench dug out...that is not deep enough, we sent them away to play.
I'm excited to get the blackberry bushes, and to get the raised beds built. I have tomato and pickling cucumbers in a little indoor seed starter, and I'm planning to get A LOT of strawberries planted.
Yay Spring! Seriously, winter was killing me. I realize we could have a freak storm and it'll get cold a bit more...but the sun is shining and that is wonderful.

The best time is when someone walks in the room, asks what you're doing and you whisper, "I'm listening for babies! Shhhh!" With your ear pressed up against the incubator, like that is normal behavior.

You mean that is not normal behavior? Sure is arould here.
We spent the day planting lettuce, pole beans, dicon radishes, tomatoes, leaks, lots of onions,38 elephant garlic cloves, okra, and a bunch more i cant think of at the moment. Also built my small rasberry bed and planted two so far. The other five should be here tomorrow. Then comes the pine straw mulch. Lots to do. Most of the planting was in the greenhouse. I think we are in for an early spring. But not that early. Goto keep the new sprouts safe at this point.

Holy macaroni. WE HAVE A PIP! :th But I think it may be malpositioned? What do y'all think? It looks too far away from the air sac than what I was expecting but I have no clue. I think I may be in shock. My TV automatically shut itself off about 30mins ago & I could hear the faintest little chirping. I got up to check it out, turned the incubator around to get a better look at the egg I thought it might be coming from & found this!

Nice and what a great area you are going to have. I have never grown strawberries, are they hard?

@samsr sounds like you were busy! Nice start to your garden.
