The thing is, you can't see any of my coops or pens from the front or side yards. The house on the other side of us has been abandoned for 6 years, which is where the majority of my birds are at.

We're also starting to negotiate to buy the abandoned property next door to us next week, which is on a triple city corner lot and we're on a double city lot, our home is in an old neighborhood built in 1932.

How to encourage a renting neighbor to move?? Especially if we are buying the property next door. IJS

I hope they just drop it since you were not sited for anything.
As to how to encourage them to move..........

How about putting a for sale sign in their yard when they are not home? (Just kidding)

I really don't have a good answer on that one. I wish I did since I think we all have at least one neighbor that we could do without.

This neighbor btw also house sat for us in August including taking care of my chickens and ROOSTER. So.. yes. This is very hurtful that things turned like this. It makes me very sad this happened.

Are you certain it was this particular neighbor? I know here they will not tell you who the complainer is.
If it for sure was this neighbor that is extra insulting that they would do that to you.

Hmmm, not sure how to "encourage" them to move. If they keep making complaints, the code enforcement will get tired from it eventually, and who knows, they may file their own complaints against these people. That might be one way they decide to move on their own.

I have lived next to some realy losers, drug dealers, drug addicts, drama constantly, then one ended up being brought up on Meth charges, and off to jail he went, others eventually moved away, and one died. It will get better, so just sit back and watch the show, you have a front row seat! lol

It was the neighbor that house sat for us. The wordage etc were his words verbatim the code enforcement said to me, the exact words he had told my bf.

Which had prompted my bf to build the indoor sound muffled rooster housing in the basement.

It's gotten hurtful and ridiculous. It feels like a slap in the face. Especially when he says it's the neighbors behind him that are complaining, which they aren't. They love the eggs from my chickens and ducks and have offered to help me process 10 cx in 3 weeks in exchange for a chicken for their freezer.

I have spoken with EVERYONE within a 3 block radius of me, often carrying my rooster with me and they all think he's the coolest rooster ever.

And they have had a crow reduction surgery on top of everything.

he's a total lap chicken.

Yea that would make me want to put the "house for sale by neighbor" sign in their yard. ( My son came up with the idea due to our neighbor. )
I think if nothing else it is a funny thought... them coming home to a sign in the yard.
Your roo is a handsome fellow.
