I have no hope of catching up on all the posts I've missed, so just jumping in here to say hello. Our chicks are all around 8 weeks now. We want to build a bigger run, and hopefully we can tackle that in the next couple of weeks, but other than that, things seem to be going okay. May is a hectic month for us, but I'm finding it's calming to come home at the end of the day, take care of the chicken tasks and just watch them for a while.

I'm amazed at how calming it is to just watch chickens toodle around doing chicken things

So exciting I have a couple tweaks to make (the roosts didn't come the way I thought they would but should be easily modified) but otherwise it's lovely and holding chickens quite well.

It looks great! I got mine on Friday. It's heavy!! We are now trying to figure out how to get it off our trailer and positioned properly without killing ourselves. I think it weighs 1500lbs.

I'm thinking we may have to involve a winch. I am an engineer. I can figure this out. . .hopefully.

Drive some stakes into the ground angled away from the coop. Tie the coop off to the stakes, drive the trailer out from under it at least to tipping point then ease it from there. Once on the ground it will probably be easier to spin it (center of gravity and all that) and you should be able to use the trailer to "push" it if need be. Good luck!

The shop guy maneuvered it single handedly with only one half of the coop propped on a wheeled dolly... So if you can get wheels under it that may help
