....that's cotton....

...from our cottonwood tree. It's been an especially bad year this year. Must be El Niño. It's mostly over now, at least the constant rain of debris has slowed down a lot. Few more days and it should be over...not soon enough though.

Lawn mower with a bagger and I'll have most of this picked up...but what a mess.

What do the chickens think of all the cotton ??

For the most part, I don't think the cotton bothers them too much. I notice they will not drink the water at the end of the patio if too much cotton has fallen into it.

Other than that, I don't really notice any issues.

I'll be mowing it up this next weekend. This stuff I dump into the back of the garden, it takes a while for it to breakdown.

It developed over me as it was moving east... got some lightning, thunder, a bit of heavy rain, and watched it move out on the plains and hammer those east of me

Hate it when that happens. Did finally have one good storm here last week... hail, several inches of rain, ditch flooding, most of the good stuff one can get from a T-storm

Ha-ha I don't mind thunderstorms but I do worry about losing at Colorado Gardening Roulette when the hail comes, so you can have all that hail to yourself!

We got drenched in a downpour that lasted 40 - 45 minutes. Great light show!!
