We got back at 12:30. I ended up going to the Kiowa Feed Store, because I was looking for Red/Black Stars. Elizabeth didn't get them in this year. I'm in Kiowa. I'm afraid to go to the feed store for fear I'll come home with more birds I don't need. I just think I need ducks, don't know why but I do and I know Mary over there at the feed store is just laying in wait for me.

Just back from murdock's, (the one on sante fe, south of c-470, they are out of chickens until Sunday.

Sunday they are supposed to get in:
Speckled Sussex's
Black Jersey Giant's
Light Brahma's and
Buff Rock's

Also

Golden and Black sex link's and Blue Polish (st run) on march 10

This will be the first time I've bought from them, I guess their birds come from murray. Does anyone know if they sex the chicks or otherwise know which they are? (I should have asked when I was in there duh).

Really getting windy here in town, was going to work on my coop, but probably waiting till the weekend at this point, me + a sheet of plywood isn't going to be pretty right now.

The Merchantile in Brighton for the most part has the pullets seperated. Once in awhile they put a SR brooder full out there but alot of that depends on the breeds.

Bundled up. The ducks aren't happy. They don't mind the wet, but snow seems to annoy them

If you come down Hwy. 86 west from I70 if I remember correctly (it's been a while) it's about a 50 minute drive to Kiowa.

We are finally getting some snow today. Unfortunately it's already slowing down so I don't think it's going to amount to more than a dusting. But, we'll take any moisture we can get!
