Colorado

So true Zilla

This weather is old all ready. My daughter plays competitive softball and this will be the 3rd tournament since the end of March to be cancelled. ENOUGH!!!

Ok as far as your new additions, I had someone "add" a White Crested Polish banty Boy in my yard at our old house. I walked out to open up the coop and there he was all by his lonesome. I let me crew out and he just melted right in. We lived on a corner so we were pretty accessible.

Hi Everyone!!! I'm a newbie to BYC and I'm in Elizabeth, Colorado...so glad to find the Colorado thread!!! This site truly cheers me up in the morning

- especially on a cold, miserable day like this one!! I am sick of this weather!!

I have been without chickens for a while now (since we moved), but I have BBS bantam cochins, white, blue and silver laced LF cochins, and buff-ginger call ducks

in the incubator right now. I'm not feeling too confident about this hatch since we lost power for over 12 hours last weekend due to this stupid, stupid weather

we've been having lately, but I'm still loving them and hoping that at least a few make it!!

I will be starting BBS orpingtons and more BBS and mottled bantam cochins this week and hopefully have an uneventful incubation! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Thanks to all who brighten my day!

Welcome neighbor!!! I'm just over the hill in Kiowa! We had turkeys due to hatch last week when the weather knocked the electricity out and by golly, those little babies were born right on time two days later so I hope you have the same luck.

Thanks Lor!!! This is the first time I've ever hatched in an incubator, so I was already nervous...and then power outage!

Welcome, I'maCountryGirl. I'm in Buena Vista, but my niece lives in Elizabeth and my brother in Kiowa. Those are the cutest Bernese Mountain Dogs pics. Let us know how your hatch goes.

Your part of the state is gorgeous!! Wish we had your trees!

I wish we had them closer! I live west of Junction outside of Fruita and it's all desert here, blah. It's nice when we get to go up the mountain to the mesa in the summertime but caring for our animals means it doesn't happen too often.
