Matt!

I'm in "Longmont" Fredrick really, just west of I-25.

What breeds did you get? Murdochs is a dangerous place. I got 9 new ones in March. Lost one so down to 8, add that to the 8 survivng from last year, oh yeah my Buff Orp is sitting on 5 eggs, one hatched last night, and I have someone hatching 18 Marans eggs for me. Whooo talk about addicting?

Based on your description of the southern edge of Dacono - how much land are you on? I LOVE Weld county - very agriculturally friendly, they in fact state that their primary fcus is n agiculture and that any residential neighbors who want to complain about aspects of the agricultural world - i.e. noise or smell, just have to deal with it, they moved to the country for the country life, well this is it!

Lol, why is Murdochs a dangerous place? We got, or so we were told, 1 each RIR, NHR, WO, Black Aust, Blue Andalu, Speck Suss, SS ham and Aracauna, but we aren't so sure about three of them. Posted this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=336502 to try and get help trying to figure out what each one is how old. We live in between roads 52 and hwy 7 on colorado blvd. 8.5 acres, its kinda nice :-)

OK COlorado people. I haven't been on here in forever, I have been trying to spend my time in more productive ways.

I got 6 pullets form Big R that I thought may be cochins.... they weren't, I forgot to check the combs.

So I have 6 light brahma pullets, that are about 5 weeks old, for sale. I would really like to get them out of here soon, because I finally got my cochins a couple weeks later,

and they need to go to the outside brooder.

Let me know if anyone is interested, we live in the SE part of the state, so we are quite a ways from most of you. These are BEAUTIFUL little girls, they are so pretty I almost want to keep them....

I am thinking about $5 apiece sounds fair, is that a good price?

had salad for dinner...so i could share some itty bitty bits of lettuce...I made my dinner around what i could share with the babies...I'm smitten. And hubby likes them way better than he likes chicken chicks.

I'm getting ready to place an order with Jeffers for the Marek's vaccine. It's only $14.95 for a 1000 dose vial, but there is a shipping charge and a freight charge, each one almost as much as the vaccine itself, but......I changed the quantity to 3 vials, and the shipping and freight charges barely changed, so.....

I am wondering if any of you would like to pool an order for the vaccine and split the shipping charge? Could save us a lot of money if 3 or 4 or more went together!!

I'm east of Parker, so anyone in the Denver, Parker, Elizabeth, Franktown area would probably make the most sense, but anyone is welcome to join in.

I would like to know pretty quick so I can get mine ordered in the next day or two. Let me know!! ~Kimberly

This lovely wind had me scared for a bit this morning! It knocked out power somewhere, which caused the red light to not be on. I knew the chicks would be ok for a short time, but I was really hoping the power would come back on (it did!) before too long. It really makes you stop and think what you are taking for granted when something like the electricity goes out!
