lol, we are newish as well, we only started last spring

Mille Fluer Bantam Cochin - Mille Fluer is a relatively new coloring for the Cochin breed, found currently only in the bantams (bantam meaning small, mini, tiny

) whenver I list crossed parentage I list the roo first x the hen second so MFC x EE is mille fluer cochin roo crossed with easter egger hen

our breeds all run together so the chicks are currently all crosses. Right now our only crosses are the MFC x EE's and two MFC x Black Australorps

We live in dacono, which is about 30 miles north of denver on I-25

And I'm willing to meet somewhere in the middle for a chance to get the babies out of the house, and trade for one processed freezer bird

ah, so these are tiny EE's? what size are the eggs...see I have several people waiting for eggs to buy from me, my original goal...I did not mean to have freezer birds...I was hoping for "regular" size hens, not munchkins...let me know...I may change my mind...

Honestly, I'm not sure on the sizing

At the moment the two that are outside, that were raised by one of the MFC hens (long story

) are the same size as she is, and they are still growing. Near as I can tell, the two that are a couple weeks younger and inside are also the same size as the outside ones so I'd say that they might be a little bit smaller than regular EE's but still larger than the bantam EE's

Plus, they'll have feathered legs

As far as eggs go, Aerin (our only EE) gives us medium to medium-largeish? eggs and pretty darn regular too

, but cochins in general (both standards and bantams) tend to lay small eggs so I'm not sure what size eggs these will lay. thats part of our adventure

At the moment, they are four weeks and eight weeks old

I believe we are going to go with all new babes in the warmer weather...I will need to clean and sterilize the coop, and start all fresh, will just have to wait till fall to get eggs...bummer....but thanks so much anyhow...!
