Ok, that makes more sense. I was thinking the softball tournament that got snowed out was up in Arvada. Sorry, just a little confused. But, then, I think that's my natural state.

It's nice to hear that about Australorps. I think they're really pretty. Yeah, looks aren't everything, but it doesn't hurt, right

You mean to buy? If so, the feed store near me, Pollards, 1821 s. parker road, has some.

Thanks, but no. I have lots of chicks hatched from our eggs that we're selling. We still have some left. They are egger hens/ameraucana roo and black australorp hens/egger roo.

Although I don't know what kind. He had already closed for the weekend when I talked to him today, so didn't go into details.

Yes, I read your blog after I replied. Sounds like getting more would be just a little bit counterproductive.

It snowed in Parker above 6500 today, too. I planted seeds (cold crops like spinach) today. Never new cold crop meant I had to be really cold, too!

What a difference it made when I expanded my brooder. I increased my brooder to a 3ft diameter and it seems like my flock has taken on a whole new personality. They are running across from side to side, scratching like crazy... living life large. Fun to watch.

No snow in NE Colorado but drizzling rain and fairly cold.
